Anglia Crown, a chilled and frozen prepared meal manufacturer for the healthcare sector, has appointed a new managing director.
Paul Howell (pictured right), steps up to the role with immediate effect, having worked as the company’s head of commercial since September 2016.
Based at Anglia Crown’s head office in Colchester, Essex, he will oversee the team and will be responsible for maintaining and growing the business with a focus on potential new markets, in addition to the healthcare sector.
Howell has extensive knowledge of the facilities management and healthcare catering industry, having formerly worked at Compass Group as a business development manager at the company’s White Oaks and Steamplicity strands.
Prior to that he was head of sales at apetito and director of local authority catering at Tillery Valley Foods.
He said: “The past year has been an extremely busy time for Anglia Crown with some exciting new developments. I am looking forward to building on the company’s success, focusing on growing our existing market share and entering new markets wherever possible.
“I am delighted to be talking the helm of such a fantastic company and leading a passionate team who continually work to improve food standards for some of the most vulnerable people.
“Contract retentions, as well as expected new business, will form a significant part of our plans for future growth.”
