The Gold Award this year was won by Bidvest Foodservice for their ‘Premium Selection’ Tarte aux Poires. This product looks simply superb with its lovely refreshing look and feel about it. Our chefs loved this product with one saying, “Looks like an artisan product. Looks and tastes quality. The egg custard was very light, pears very soft in a fine pastry case,” whilst another said, “Looks quite classic French. Sensible portion, pear well-flavoured plus good quality. Pastry good,” whilst another said, “Lovely poached pear, the buttery pastry and the clear, attractive look.”
