Coppenrath & Wiese (UK) Ltd. take the top prize – winning with their ‘Tesco’ Salted Caramel Gateau which is a chocolate sponge cake filled with chocolate cream mousse and salted caramel sauce, decorated with salted caramel sauce, dark chocolate coated crisp rice, salted caramel pieces and white chocolate flavoured drizzle, sides decorated with mini milk chocolate drops. Coppenrath & Wiese combine classic baking traditions, the expertise of a master confectioner and ‘state of the art’ production methods. This allows them to create incredibly consistent quality in their pursuit of perfection and love of detail and the result is something they are extremely proud of.
