Bannisters’ Farm is expanding its repertoire of baked potatoes by adding two exciting new products to its foodservice offering: Baked Sweet Potatoes and Sweet Potato Skins.
Continuing the farming family business’s tradition of producing good wholesome food that is convenient and quick to prepare, the new sweet potatoes are traditionally baked then frozen, to save caterers and chefs preparation time and to minimise waste.
Marie Medhurst, Sales Director at Bannisters’ Farm, said: “We’re really excited to be adding sweet potato products to our foodservice range.
“The popularity of sweet potatoes has soared in recent years. Not only does their sweet flavour complement many of the current food trends but sweet potatoes are also extremely nutritious as well as being gluten free, and low in fat and salt.”
The frozen Baked Sweet Potatoes can be reheated in minutes in the microwave and can be served as a side or a main meal with a choice of hot or cold fillings.
The Sweet Potato Skins are a versatile menu option as a starter or as part of a sharing plate, offering the chef the chance to add their own twist with a range of dips, fillings and toppings.
Both new products are available in two sizes: Small and Large.
All products in the Bannisters’ Farm range are made only with natural ingredients – making them suitable for a gluten-free diet and for the increasing number of customers who are looking for wholesome food.
