We were delighted to see so many of our members join us for what was a very successful and informative Business Conference and Exhibition which took place at Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth on Tuesday 3rd March 2015.
We welcomed Michael Bennett as conference chair whilst Roger Martin-Fagg gave us the latest picture on the UK economy and Ed Garner from Kantar provided his thoughts on the retail market. Dr Morgaine Gaye, Food Futurologist, gave an interesting view of her take on what’s next for food trends and Brian Young provided an update on BFFF’s promotional activities.
We are indebted to Andy Weston-Webb of Birds Eye, Andrew Kenny of Asda, Ken McMeikan of Brakes, James Walton of the IGD, Tom Lynch of CGA Strategy and James Armitage of Enterprise Inns for their fascinating and informative insights into their specific sectors.
Our keynote speaker Gerald Ratner rounded off the conference with a very frank and humorous appraisal of his downfall and life after ‘that gaffe’.
We are very grateful to our main sponsors Caterforce, LambWeston and MWV. Our thanks also go to the following companies for their support and sponsorship: The Authentic Food Company, Bells of Lazonby, Ercolano, GRG Recruitment, Lantmanen, Low Sodium Sea Salt Company, Norbert Dentressangle, Reed Boardall, SSI Schaefer and Tipiak.
