As members will have seen Northern Ireland’s Minister of Agriculture Edwin Poots has advised his department to cease all checks of goods arriving into the province from GB. The Federation attended on Thursday morning (3 Feb) a regular weekly roundtable call with the Defra team on the GB to NI issues. The advice to participants on the call from both Defra and Daera is to continue to make all the declarations as before the announcement. I am sure by the time many members read this post that events may have changed again. We will endeavour to keep you up to date with the events around Northern Ireland.
