You will be aware of the principle agreement that has been reached with the EU and seen the Command Paper issued last week.
Defra have been working to understand what this means for businesses and how movements into Northern Ireland from Great Britain will need to operate. To support businesses, they have set up two webinars on Thursday 17 December, in which they will cover the full journeys for moving Animal Products, Plants and Plant Products from Great Britain to Northern Ireland. These are joint webinars between Defra and DAERA and will include what checks will take place once the goods arrive in Northern Ireland.
The webinars will cover the journey for those businesses that fall outside the ‘authorised trader’ talked about in the Command Paper. Defra will provide further details on the journey for those that will be within the ‘authorised trader’ easement soon.
