We are aware there are some members who deliver product into ROI that originates in the EU using the UK as a ‘land bridge’. With the UK now out of the EU members may wish to look at the option of avoiding the UK.
Stena and Irish Ferries are establishing extra crossings between Cherbourg and Rosslare or Dublin. Whilst the sea crossing takes longer there is more certainty because as, yet we do not know what delays there may be for the Calais/Dover crossing and then onward from ports such as Holyhead into ROI.
Whilst these routes may add, not only time but cost, for loads that are not ‘time critical’ this might be a prudent option.
