Government communication dated 23rd December 2020, outlined that from the 1st January 2021, traders can continue to move a specific subset of prohibited and restricted (P&R) meat products for a grace period of six months. During this grace period, traders need to provide a form of certification for each consignment of fresh minced meat and meat preparations.

Documentation requirements were introduced in three stages.

Following the outcome of ongoing discussions with the European Union (EU) for moving P&R goods from GB to NI, there has been an update on the documentation requirements for each of the stages.

Please read the guidance here which sets out updated requirements you will now need to follow with immediate effect.
