Following our update last week on the possible suspension of checks on goods being imported into Northern Ireland. We understand from a Defra forum this morning that on Friday last week (4 Feb) that a Judge ruled that the checks should continue whilst a judicial review was undertaken. We were advised that this review will be completed by 7th March, although as is quite often the case this date may change. This view was supported by the Daera person on the call and he repeated the view that all companies should continue as normal.
Our advice to members is to continue with all declarations required under the current rules.
