Members are hopefully well prepared for the new requirements that will come into force from 1st January 2022 on any animal and plant products imported from the EU. The BFFF have been working with customs broker Unsworth over the last few months in trying to provide information and support to help members prepare not only for the changes on imports but also the ongoing challenges on exports to the EU.
Unsworth have kindly provided us with the following resources.
The first is a video that is a recording of a Q&A session from a visit to the Port of Dublin, the session was an opportunity for participants on the visit to ask questions from the various Irish officials in attendance. This included Dublin Port Authorities, Health and Safety Executive, Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine (DAFM), and Revenue Customs. Members can register to watch the video by clicking here
They will then run two webinars, the first on Wed Dec 15th will cover Border Operating Model, Import Regulations, GVMS, pre notification Requirements for POAO. You can register by clicking here
The second on Dec 16th will cover changes to VAT on exports to France which also come into force in January, to register members can click here
