During the BFFF/Seafish Importers Forum on Wednesday 9th December we were made aware of the new UK health certificates to be used in conjunction with non-EU imports destined for GB.
The GOV.UK page containing these certificates has been updated and it now contains 4 different seafood certificates and some instructions for their use. These are the main points:
- Fish Product Health Certificates are available on this Gov.uk website.
- A grace period has been agreed whereby Importers from 3rd countries can continue to use EU versions until 1 Apr 21.
- With regards to imports from EU countries health certificates are “work in progress”
