Defra has been informed that Indonesia is updating its import requirements for all fishery products, effective 1st February 2021. In light of this, Defra is working to negotiate a new Export Health Certificate with the Indonesian authorities, however this may not be available by the 1st February deadline.
Defra has requested a transition period for introduction of the new conditions but has not yet received a response. Exporters are therefore advised that existing certification methods should be used with caution until a new export health certificate has been agreed.
