Defra have provided further guidance on Products of Animal Origin (POAO) and high-risk foods that come from third countries and transit through the EU.

When these products arrive in the UK they must enter the country where there is a Border Control Point (BCP).

As BCPs are still being constructed at some UK entry points the goods can only enter where there is a current BCP.

Defra have provided a list of all BCPs which for the EU are predominantly on the East Coast ports – the full list can be found by following this link:
