We would like to advise members that the IT issue which has caused some delays to freight on arrival into France via the short straits was fixed at 13.00 GMT on 9th February.

Vehicles with goods that have diverted from the itinerary in their transit declaration will no longer be automatically directed into the orange lanes.

As a result, it is no longer necessary for those using ferries from Dover to enter both Calais and Dunkerque as Offices of Transit in box 51 of their transit declarations. It is only necessary to enter one of Calais Port/Tunnel (FR620001) or Dunkirk Ferry (FR590002) according to the planned itinerary.

Note: vehicles will still be directed to the orange lanes if they are selected for a control for other reasons (customs or SPS), including if they do not enter all the correct information into SI Brexit.
