
CGA have shared with us their GO Technology report conducted and compiled with Zonal, looking at the customer journey through Pubs, Bars and Restaurants and identifying areas where technology can play a part in aiding process for staff or alleviating the frustrations of consumers and also how those consumers view technology in light of the pandemic and the increased usage we have seen.
Top take-outs
- Two in five (40%) people agree that tech has improved their experiences, compared to just 11% who disagree.
- It’s all about timing and attention, people don’t like struggling to get their servers attention or waiting too long for their food, that said they also don’t like being rushed. In the case of timing it’s all about being appropriate.
- Use tech to allow servers to spend more time with guests – 33% of people say that the thing they value about service is how friendly and helpful it is, use your tech to enable your servers to be at their friendliest and most helpful.
