Country Range’s Frozen Bread Basket Expands with Duo of Plain Bagels
Country Range, the leading independent foodservice brand, has added to its growing range of frozen breads and rolled out Plain Bagels in two different formats – 85g sliced and 115g unsliced.
With bagels enjoying a resurgence in the foodservice sector due to the growing trend for healthy brunches and lunches, the new products are available to the foodservice sector immediately via the 12 independent wholesalers that make up the Group.
Country Range’s bagels are 95% baked and can be finished in the oven in just four minutes and provide the perfect base for a host of sweet and savoury fillings and toppings. The growing brand’s Development Chef Paul Dickson has also been working in the test kitchen to showcase the adaptability of the product and has created a number of sweet and savoury recipes suited for both adults and children. Paul said:
“The popularity of bagels has definitely grown over the last few years and we’re now seeing lots of top venues around the country use them in unique and exciting ways. Using our 85g bagels I simply created these school-friendly pizzas by adding a little of our Tomato and Basil sauce and topping with our grated Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese. These can be finished with a whole host of toppings such as ham and mushroom through to a pancetta and balsamic vinegar pizza using the 115 bagel.”
The 85g sliced bagels come in packs of 50, while the 115g format are available in packs of 48.
