BFFF attends several industry level roundtable meetings on a weekly basis with an aim of keeping its membership up to up to date on all matters COVID. Materials to support businesses around surge testing are now available and designed to support organisations in communicating this information to their workforce.
In a recent meeting the subject of surge testing was raised by government, as many of you will be aware, scientists are using surge testing in some areas and genomic sequencing to:
- monitor and suppress the spread of COVID-19
- better understand new variants
Government has urged trade associations such as BFFF to make their members aware of the following points:
- Locations where surge testing is taking place,

- Request you encourage your employees to take part,
- Request your company has ample supplies of Lateral Flow Tests for employees to use,
- Reiterate the point that surge testing should be done in addition to the work place testing.
