Last week (29th April) the FDF hosted a webinar on ‘The Impact of “Natasha’s Law” on Food Information and Labelling Requirements’. The webinar was presented by Nicola Smith, a regulatory lawyer from Squire Patton Boggs. Nicola provided an update on the labelling requirements for food and drink products which are ‘prepacked for direct sale’ (PPDS) from 1 October 2021.
The webinar includes consideration of the regulatory framework, what comes within the scope of the new requirements, considerations around precautionary allergen labelling and the relevant provisions of the FSA’s technical guidance.
You are able to download the slides and watch a recording of the webinar by clicking here.
The BFFF is currently in the process of updating our PPDS guidance with our Primary Authority to ensure it fits with the new regulations coming into force later this year. Once this guidance is available, we will let members know.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please reach out to our Technical team, Denise (deniserion@bfff.co.uk) or Holly (hollyjones@bfff.co.uk), who will be happy to help.
