Bidfood is a leading foodservice wholesale distributor and the preferred supply partner for over 45,000 customers across the UK. We utilise the resources of over 4,500 people delivering from our 26 multi-temperature depots and also support Bidfresh, Caterfood Buying Group, and manufacturing locations.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Regional Health & Safety Manager to join our QHSE team to ensure legal compliance and adherence to Bidcorp standards. Working with local management teams, Depot QHSE Managers and Bidfresh Technical Managers, the successful candidate will identify and drive improvements in Health & Safety across our sites whilst co-ordinating and managing national improvement projects.


  • To provide professional Health & Safety advice, guidance and support to our sites
  • To work with people at all levels across the business to establish a strong and positive Health & Safety culture and to drive continuous improvement
  • To conduct second party audits to ensure compliance and improvement
  • To support business change through effective change management processes
  • To deliver Health & Safety improvement projects using project management skills
  • To deliver Health & Safety training
  • To be a coach and mentor to our Depot QHSE Managers and Bidfresh Technical Managers

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record as a Health & Safety Manager in a similar role with responsibility for managing Health & Safety across multiple sites
  • Excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Flexible approach to work, able to manage own priorities and workload
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills – result focused and determined
  • Credibility and influencing skills and strategies to be able to build buy-in to change
  • Demonstrable record of driving significant change through an operation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with an ability to build and develop strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders up to Board level
  • Excellent coaching experience with an ability to develop and up skill
  • Able to work independently to deadlines and under pressure with confidence whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail


  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • GradIOSH and/or working towards CMIOSH
  • Significant Health & Safety Management experience, preferably in a warehousing and distribution environment
