Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and objectives.

– Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the frozen produce market.

– Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients

– Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

– Collaborate with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction.

– Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.

– Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote products and expand the customer base.

– Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize profitability.

 

Requirements:

– Proven experience in a similar sales role within the frozen produce industry.

– Strong knowledge of sales principles, practices, and techniques.

– Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

– A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Senior Sales Executive

H. Smith Food Group PLC are one of the leading frozen foodservice companies in the UK specializing in the foodservice, retail and manufacturing/food to go & ethnic markets. Our extensive product range consists of over 350 lines including cooked & raw poultry, meat, seafood, vegetable and various miscellaneous products. We run our own fleet of vehicles which operate out of our purpose built coldstore here in Rainham, Essex. We hold AA BRC for both A&B and S&D.

Role Description
This is a full-time senior sales executive role at H. Smith Food Group Plc located in Rainham, with flexibility for some remote work. The role involves sourcing & managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and meeting sales targets.

The candidate will be fully supported by our team and expected to cover the following points:
• Be responsible for building up & managing their own customer base.
• Will be keen and willing to carry out regular customer visits throughout the UK.
• Develop and maintain a good relationship with customers.
• Be able to generate new leads and identify new markets.
• Accurately enter information into our in-house database in receipt of customer orders.
• When receiving enquiries, they are to be dealt with and followed through thoroughly.
• Able to work under pressure in a competitive market.
