Company Profile

Avara Foods is one of the UK's biggest food businesses, supplying great tasting chicken and turkey to some of the biggest supermarkets and restaurants in the country.   Established in 2018 as a 50/50 joint venture between Cargill and Faccenda, we operate a fully integrated supply chain, based wholly in the UK, encompassing agriculture, processing and distribution.

It’s not what we do that sets us apart, it’s how we do it. Most importantly, it’s our team of dedicated colleagues that make it all possible. We are proud to be a diverse, inclusive company where people oversee every part of a production process that stretches from farms and feed mills all the way to the customer’s door.

Our business is built on four core values and these shape the way we work and the decisions we make.  They are: Inclusive, Ambitious, Excelling, Integrity.  By ensuring that these values are intertwined with the way that we do business, we are confident that we will fulfil our aim of being a company that you want to work with and for.

Our customers include major supermarkets and some of the UK’s most popular restaurants, as well as supplying wholesalers and further manufacturers.  Our extensive range includes a product for every occasion, from simple whole birds and portions, to ranges with added flavour, sausages, burgers and meatballs, plus oven-ready dishes that take the strain out of meal times.

Frozen poultry forms an important aspect of our overall product mix.  In addition to supply for the domestic (UK) market, we also export frozen products into Europe and beyond.  Recognising the strategic value of a strong frozen capability, we are making significant investment in our business to increase our production capacity.
