We are based in Scotland and farm our own trout as well as processing and manufacturing seafood products for food service and retail, both in the UK and around the world. We manage a number of farming sites as well as specialised facilities handling fresh (chilled), marinated, smoked and other value-added lines. We can provide a full range of services, depending on what a customer needs – from basic fish processing and supply through to a full product development service, from identifying opportunities to delivering the finished product. We pride ourselves in the passion, knowledge and expertise of our team. We are especially well known for trout and salmon, but can handle almost any fish or sea food - including mackerel, terrines and marinades.

In addition to our smoked fish brand, Dawnfresh are the proud producers of Silver Tide by Marinades of Scotland, the UK’s leading range of Kosher ready-to-eat marinated fish products, available in delicatessens, quality grocers and fishmongers throughout the country. Our popular products are hand prepared by a small, dedicated team in Grantown-on-Spey in northern Scotland, on the banks of the River Spey and close to the main Scottish fishing harbours. The range uses sustainably-sourced, MSC-certified herring, and includes roll mops, sweet herring fillets and flavoured herring suitable for retail, foodservice and deli counters.
Today, the Dawnfresh range includes fresh added value products as well as hot and cold smoked packs for retail and food service. Our team of highly skilled chefs provide market leading innovation in product development for a whole host of UK and European retailers. We have the ability to nitrogen freeze at -110C using cryogenic technology to produce high quality ex-frozen products. In addition to this we use blast freezing in the run upto Christmas to help facilitate the peak demands of our retail clients.
