At the top level, Erudus offers access to data - legally required allergen, nutrition and technical data via a number of software solutions.
We work within the foodservice industry, and our customers are predominantly Manufacturers, Wholesalers and Caterers. Our advanced data software allows Manufacturers to upload, track and audit in-depth product specifications for their entire range (covering things like dietary, allergen and nutritional information, packaging information, plus product photography and marketing assets).
We make these specifications easily and accurately available to our Wholesale and foodservice customers - saving them time and effort, and hugely reducing the risk of error when it comes to crucial issues like allergy information.
We provide Wholesalers with the product specs their own customers need in a uniform, easy to read format - and with an API to feed all the data and images into their chosen e-commerce platform.
For Caterers, we offer powerful tools that help them comply with legislation and manage their business efficiently - for example, our Recipe Builder tool which automatically generates a PDF of nutritional and allergy information, and cost per serving, for any recipe a Caterer puts into it.
Our first and main objective is to become the recognised industry solution for food data. Through our biannual Steering Groups with Manufacturers and Wholesalers we are in a constant dialogue about the necessary developments needed, and we're actively working alongside official trade bodies to ensure we're on course to achieve this. Meeting this objective will cement Erudus's standing within the industry - and also positively impact the industry itself, by making the sharing of important food data easier and more accurate.
Another major objective is to continue improving the tools and solutions we offer aside from the main platform: our Development road map includes a Manufacturers Module that our Manufacturing customers can use before inputting their specs into Erudus. This software will aid them with NPD (New Production Development), Supplier Management and Risk Assessment.
