Ruth Poulten is a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Consultant at NFU Mutual, helping to address some of society’s most pressing issues, a role she’s held for the last 10 years. She’s worked in the public, private and charitable sectors spending time on ‘both sides of the media’ at Sky News, talkSPORT, Gateshead Council and Business in the Community, the Prince’s Responsible Business Network.
She works closely with Samaritans, Farming Community Network and The Prince’s Countryside Fund looking at ways to tackle rural issues including isolation and mental health, chairs NFU Mutual’s Responsible Business Steering Group and is passionate about supporting communities and creating positive, lasting change.
We are delighted to have Ruth join us at this year’s Health & Safety Conference, sponsored by Arco Limited, where she will be talking to Shayne Tyler, Group Compliance Director at Fresca Group, who’s had ‘first hand’ experience of identifying and tackling worker exploitation and to Dr Alastair Redfern, who worked alongside Theresa May to shape the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and also Chair’s The Clewer Initiative, The Church of England’s response to modern slavery, which develops strategies to detect modern slavery and helps provide victim support and care.
