Moy Park Foodservice Goes Global With New Range

Moy Park Foodservice has launched a new ethnic range of products developed by its chefs to help operators tap into the booming demand for globally-inspired dishes on menus.

From authentic South Indian, to new takes on Sicilian and American street food, the three new innovations reflect some of the biggest flavour trends from around the world, and include: Indian-inspired Hara Bhara Bites; Sicilian-style Tomato and Mozzarella Arancini and Texan BBQ Cheese Bites.

With Mintel reporting nearly 80% of people have eaten in an ethnic restaurant, demand for the food in the UK is showing steady growth. The latest additions to Moy Park’s chef-inspired products can help operators demonstrate a real point of difference and keep up with the increasingly diverse tastes of diners hungry for new flavours.

Frannie Santos-Mawdsley, Senior Customer Marketing Manager, European Foodservice, Moy Park explains: “The ethnic market offers operators a huge untapped opportunity but getting it right is a challenge. Indian and Asian cuisine still dominate the category but have had to make room for a wave of new styles – heavily influenced by street food – including, Tex Mex, as well as more authentic takes on the ever popular Mediterranean.  As consumers become more familiar with ethnic cuisine our insight also shows a more fragmented marketplace, with a growing demand for regional flavours.

This presents a challenge for operators to deliver quality and authenticity – two key consumer trends for 2017.

“Our new range is an infusion of all these influences, based on solid insight and developed by our expert chefs to take the hard work out of this exciting cuisine, and keep operators one step ahead in a highly competitive market.”

Moy Park’s highly versatile ethnic range can be served standalone as light bites, will bring sharing platters to life and are perfect as part of a main meal. The full line-up includes: Tomato & Mozzarella Arancini – inspired by Sicilian street food and infused with traditional Mediterranean flavours; Texan BBQ Cheese Bites – which sees the BBQ megatrend infused with the classic cheese snack and South Indian-inspired crispy and colourful vegetable Hara Bhara Bites.

Supplied frozen, the range can be made plate-ready in a number of ways with the absolute minimum of fuss and wastage, making them an ideal addition to any menu without putting extra pressure on a busy kitchen.

Moy Park Foodservice is trusted by wholesalers, chefs and caterers throughout the UK and Ireland to deliver innovative, high quality frozen products. A specialist in convenient, consistent menu-making solutions, everything the company does is backed by in-depth market insight, chef expertise, and years of foodservice experience, helping it to produce class-leading products that work harder for sites across all channels in hospitality.
