Oakland International Delighted by Jobs Fair Response
Family business Oakland International were overwhelmed with the applications received from job seekers following the successful jobs fair held at the Kingfisher Centre in Redditch.
Talent Acquisition Specialist at Oakland International, Laura Watkins, explained:
“Career events are an ideal way for local employers like us to enjoy greater personal interaction with potential applicants face to face and applicants are able to ask us questions informally before completing a job application. Having attended careers events in Redditch and Bromsgrove with good results in the past, we were once again impressed by the event and their interest in both the business and the family culture.”
Oakland offers training to all employees and encompasses Microsoft packages, Customer Service skills, MHE certification, First Aid, Health and Safety, and for job seekers including apprenticeships looking for career progression, they also operate a Management Development Programme for those interested in leadership roles.
