After winning the award in 2017 and 2018, UniCarriers makes a comeback as the Materials Handling Equipment Provider of the Year at the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution (TCS&D) Awards 2020. Offering a variety of products and solutions for the cold store and chilled sectors, the industrial truck manufacturer won over the jury with their efficiency-oriented services. The TCS&D Awards honour corporations and individuals in the temperature-controlled storage and distribution industry every year. In 2019, UniCarriers won another TCS&D award in the Customer Service category, for their outstanding service support to their customers.

UniCarriers’ first and foremost goal is to improve their customers’ operational efficiency. In particular, their in-house finance company UniCarriers Leasing UK and their flexible forklift hire who offer an optimal solution to each customer’s specific logistics requirements. Customers who decide to lease the equipment benefit from tailor-made and amendable contracts and packages to match their needs. Furthermore, since UniCarriers is the single point of supply including maintenance, equipment, finance and service, customers only need one contract. However, many customers also rely on the Short Term Hire solution that provides them with a full range of bespoke trucks and equipment to adapt their fleet size and the guarantee of full maintenance cover throughout the hire period. Being an original equipment manufacturer, UniCarriers uses their knowledge and expertise to ensure the best possible service at all times.

Especially during these trying times, the demand for supplies in the cold store and chilled industry has increased significantly and customers need a reliable source of equipment and new ways to counter upcoming challenges. With their field service engineers and Short Term Hire team in Thame, and their customizable contracts, UniCarriers guarantees a personalised solution for every customer to help them maintain their efficiency, even during the ongoing pandemic. This not only ensures a trouble-free coordination of the supply chain but also maintains the availability of food, pharmaceuticals and other products that rely on cold storage.

Due to the current crisis and the restrictions that come with it the award ceremony was held virtually as the “TCS&D Virtual Awards” on LinkedIn and Twitter on November 18th.
