
The Fisheries Industry Science Partnership Scheme (FISP) is now open to bid for contracts to carry out full research projects. Up to £300K is available per bid for projects to support sustainable fisheries management.
The scheme is part of the UK Seafood Fund and aims to improve and share knowledge of fisheries and aquaculture by funding data collection and research to support sustainable fisheries management. This is done through collaboration between the fishing and seafood industry and research organisations.
Eligible applicants are:
- sole traders who own or operate a UK fishing boat
- organisations engaged in commercial or recreational fishing, processing or marine aquaculture in the UK
- research organisations
