454 Panels (206kWp) installed
Rescuing an asset
R Sinclair Transport (RST) is a name synonymous with dependability in the transport sector. Having operated a solar PV system for nearly a decade, the RST team were early adopters of the technology and well-versed in its benefits. After their existing system suffered an inverter failure, they were unable to reach the installer who had installed it.
During routine cleaning, the RST team expressed their frustrations to their panel cleaning company, who provided a glowing recommendation and introduced them to Mypower’s post-install team. Our post-installation team diagnosed the issue and replaced the faulty inverters, bringing the system back online so RST could once again see the benefits of their solar array.
From maintenance to strategic development
With the original system back in place, the conversation seamlessly shifted from recovery to opportunity. RST’s initial plan was to match their existing 50 kWp array to further future-proof their business. Our project manager conducted an extensive analysis of system sizes and budgets based on on-site consumption, future plans, and available roof space. This consultative approach highlighted RST’s consideration of the increasing requirements of sustainability reporting and the inevitability of an electric fleet.
The Mypower team identified the Worcester Energy Efficiency Grant and presented its findings, along with three system sizes, describing the benefits, costs, and savings for each. Our project management team supported RST through the application process, and once the grant was approved, RST selected a 206 kWp system to maximise their long-term savings.
Business as usual in a busy yard
Logistics hubs are high-pressure environments where downtime isn’t an option. With a constant flow of HGVs and a busy yard, the installation had to be surgical. Mypower designed the project to ensure zero disruption to RST’s daily operations. Our team worked around the clock to ensure the yard remained fully operational, enabling the business to maintain its high service standards as we transformed its roof.
“When our original system failed, we thought we’d lost a valuable investment. Mypower not only got it back up and running quickly but also helped us step back and plan for the future properly. The installation was seamless, our operations were unaffected, and we’re delighted with the outcome.”

“It was a pleasure working with another local business on this project. We took the time to review multiple system options to ensure the solutions met both their current needs and future plans. As part of that process, we also identified a local grant opportunity, which they were successfully awarded. It’s great to see businesses like RST taking control of their electricity costs, especially given ongoing volatility in the energy market.”
