BFFF

It was great to celebrate 75 years of the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) at its Anniversary Lunch, alongside 800 like-minded businesses.

Air Products is proud to be working with the BFFF to collaborate, innovate and share knowledge, moving towards the goal of better solutions for manufacturers, retailers and consumers.

The in person event covered successes in the frozen food industry in 2023 and the exciting upcoming opportunities for everyone operating in this segment.

During his address to attendees, the President of the BFFF, Mr Ian Stone, told us that nearly 40% of consumers are buying more frozen food now than they did a year ago. This is all due to the combined effects of the pandemic and the current cost-of-living crisis, with consumers looking for lower cost foods with a longer shelf-life.

We’re helping manufacturers to introduce new frozen ranges, scale up existing operations or build agility into their operation by making processes more efficient, productive and sustainable. As an example, our cryogenic freezing solutions deliver rapid, flexible freezing capability allowing manufacturers to process more of their product line at a quicker pace.

We’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with the BFFF in 2024 and will take forward our key learnings from this year to shape success over the coming year.
