Hot on the heels of its pioneering move into the commercial Solar Photovoltaic (PV) sector, ASG Services, the labelling and integrated safety solutions specialist, is expanding its operations even further with the launch of another innovative new product, Laserglow Projected Safety Solutions.
Projected Safety Solutions has only been launched this summer. The system is the safe and effective way of communicating information onto the floor or wall of a warehouse with pinpoint accuracy. Working in tandem with traditional line marking solutions, the technology helps to create an enhanced safety environment within any warehouse.
The system has been specially designed for high-performance environments, such as warehouses where heavy equipment and machinery can be in constant operation. In such environments it is essential for pedestrian safety that walkways, aisles, or lanes are clearly defined to ensure the safe movement of people, both within the facility and outside.
The solution relies on the revolutionary Laserglow technology, which projects high-resolution beams of light, shapes and signage straight onto the warehouse floor or wall instantly highlighting floor zones and walkways without the need to overlay paint or tape onto the floor surface. In the same way, highly visible safety signage can either be projected onto the floor surface or walls of the warehouse.
Chris Hopkirk, Sales Director, ASG Services said: “The ability to instantly project laser-accurate lines, shapes and signage onto any surface is a gamechanger for the warehouse industry. The high intensity beams of light will never fade, peel, crack or erode saving operators time and money on their repair bills and speeding up their return on investment.
“Working in conjunction with traditional line marking it helps to create an effective safety environment that protects workforces and keeps stock secure.”
The solution adapts to suit the specifics of any warehouse. The VirtuaLine Walkways and Line Lasers solution projects line striping and clearly defined virtual walkways onto any floor surface and while suitable for a broad range of industrial environments, is especially effective in warehouses.
The unique floor marking method uses either a high-intensity beam or a high visibility projector to create a virtual walkway. These can be projected onto any surface, indoors or externally. Using lightweight and flexible units, the system is easy to set up and has an IP65+ rating meaning it has the highest level of dust protection as well as being capable of withstanding low-pressure water jets.
VirtuaLine Key Features:
- Modular Unit – Easily reconfigure spaces within a warehouse facility without stripping paint or tape
- Highly Durable – No wear and tear from repeated and heavy foot traffic
- Cost Effective – Eliminates the need for repainting or retaping
- Ultra-Visible – Improves safety and overcomes any complacency by attracting more attention because of a dynamic projection
- Smart Triggered – The optional capability to trigger signage using motion sensors, beam break sensors or a push button
Warehouse floors and other industrial environments often utilise taped, painted or adhesive-applied safety signage. However, these static signs can be easily obscured by racking, pallets, machinery or just wear over time. This poses a health and safety risk to workers who may not abide by the safety signage if it is not prominently displayed.
This scenario can be eliminated with Laserglow’s SafetyCast Virtual Sign Projectors. The system projects highly visible signage onto floor and wall locations where there is high traffic, potential for a hazard, or uneven floors. The SafetyCast projector uses an image lens and a high-output LED bulb to project a clear sign at distances of up to 70m (230ft). The projectors work effectively in almost all lighting conditions and are easy to mount and adjust. As with the VirtuaLine system, once installed, the projectors require virtually no maintenance, and eliminates the need to replace damaged signs.
SafetyCast Key Features:
- Highly Durable – No wear and tear from repeated and foot traffic
- Cost Effective – Eliminates the need for repainting or purchasing new signage
- Ultra-Visible – Improves safety and overcomes any complacency by attracting more attention because of a dynamic projection
- Smart Triggered – The optional capability to trigger signage using motion sensors, beam break sensors or a push button
- Easily interchangeable – Simply change the image projection lens when there is a need to project new signage
“ASG Services’ desire to bring the latest innovations in warehouse technology to its customers has seen us deliver some groundbreaking new products. We think our Projected Safety Solutions is a gamechanger for the warehouse industry and we look forward to telling our customers more about it when we showcase the technology during IMHX,” said Mr Hopkirk.
