Brexit Seminars Announced by Oakland International

Multi temperature supply chain specialist Oakland International will host its first of a series of dedicated Brexit Seminars at the Crowne Plaza, NEC, Birmingham on Wednesday 28th February 2018.

Heading Oakland’s professional Brexit team will be Director of Oakland Invicta, Robert Hardy, a former Director of P&O Ferries and EurotunnelPlus, his last 5 years of which spent developing and running the largest 24hour Customs clearance station in the UK, based at the Port of Dover. Robert is also an advisor to the Institute for Government on matters relating to Customs and Brexit, a funded Brexit advisor for InterTradeIreland (including InvestNI) and a registered expert with the EU Commission on matters relating to international trade and modal shift.

Commenting Robert stated: “We view Brexit as a positive challenge with an opportunity to excel, which is why we are holding a series of seminars in the lead up to Brexit so that our customers and colleagues can benefit from some of the most sought-after Brexit advice in the business today.

The Birmingham seminar will cover topics including: Customs and Brexit, Port Health, AEO Trusted Trader Status, Food Safety, WTO and Tariff Classification, Clandestine Activity, Simplifications, Threats, Rules of Origin and post Brexit Business Opportunities.
