The BFFF have been contacted by the FSA’s Achieving Business Compliance (ABC) team to ask members for their assistance in mapping out what the future food regulatory system should look like.
The Achieving Business Compliance (ABC) programme is the change programme of the FSA and seeks to deliver a vision for a future regulatory system that is fit for purpose and capable of managing future risks. The aim is to make sure that consumers continue to have food they can trust in the future. To achieve this in a rapidly evolving food system we need to develop new regulatory approaches.
The project to map the food regulatory system has now been extended beyond food manufacturers to cover all sectors of the supply chain and the ABC Team are seeking input from as many stakeholders as possible to help identify areas of weakness, gaps or opportunities to regulate differently.
Note: This work is at the early stages – they are just gathering information so certainly no preconceptions about where this might lead.
We would be very grateful if members could spend a few minutes completing this Questionnaire to share their thoughts and insight, by 12th June.
If you are also able to share your input with the BFFF, then that would also be greatly appreciated as it helps us build a complete picture across the whole membership. Please send a copy of your comments, prior to selecting the ‘submit’ button, to deniserion@bfff.co.uk
