Members may be interested to hear that INCPEN are holding a conference in London on 19^th July 2023 on the Government plans for plastics.

We are pleased to confirm that this event is free of charge for BFFF members to attend in person or online, as we are members of the INCPEN Trade Association Group (TAG). • Raise awareness of the upcoming HMRC consultation on ‘chemical recycling and mass balance’. The aim is to increase numbers of responses received by HMRC, and to raise the quality of responses by being informed of the issues that will impact across the packaging value chain.
• Mobilise the packaging value chain: manufacturers, retailers, brands, councils, waste mgmt. companies, recyclers, reprocessors etc to understand the Government’s plans for plastics as they emerge in the coming weeks/months, and to focus on joining-up our actions.
• Between us all, create a ‘legacy conference’ that mobilises action, creates enthusiasm, and helps deliver national ambitions and outcomes for plastics.
