This year the Workplace Transport and Road Risk Seminar will be held at the Newark Showground on the 27th January, the first face to face event the British Frozen Food Federation have been able to put on since the pandemic. Lisa Ramos and David Garton are confirmed as the Inspiration speaker at this years show and will be talking about their frank and honest account of Lisa’s rehabilitation, and the long-term struggles, that are part and parcel of adjusting to life, after an accident.
Lisa Ramos was involved in a forklift accident at work, in 2006. As a result of this, she is now an above knee amputee. She had been working alongside her husband and although he wasn’t on the shift on that day, he witnessed the aftermath. They offer a unique insight, into the devastating impact, an accident can have. Simon Brentnall, Head of Health and Safety, commented “Lisa will share with you the consequences, both mentally and physically of her forklift accident which happened in 2006, this resulted in the amputation of her left leg above the knee. Her husband Dave with also give his account of the journey from a different perspective.
