These Terms of Use govern participation in all British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) online members’ forums, discussion boards, webinars, and virtual meetings. By accessing or participating in any BFFF online forum, members agree to comply with these Terms.
1. Purpose of the Forum
BFFF online forums are provided to facilitate professional discussion, information sharing, and collaboration among members. Forums must be used in a lawful, respectful, and constructive manner consistent with BFFF’s role as a trade association.
2. Standards of Conduct
Members agree to:
- Act professionally, respectfully, and courteously at all times
- Engage constructively and in good faith with other participants
- Respect differing opinions and avoid personal or inflammatory remarks
- Keep contributions relevant to the purpose and subject matter of the forum
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and BFFF policies
The following conduct is prohibited:
- Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or intimidation
- Offensive, abusive, defamatory, or inappropriate language or content
- Personal attacks, trolling, or deliberate disruption of discussions
- Posting misleading, false, or unlawful content
- Sharing confidential, commercially sensitive, or proprietary information without proper authority
- Recording, copying, or redistributing forum content without consent, where applicable
3. Competition Law and Antitrust Compliance
Members must comply fully with UK and EU competition law when participating in BFFF online forums.
Members must not:
- Discuss or exchange commercially sensitive information, including (but not limited to) pricing, costs, margins, discounts, capacity, output levels, market allocation, customers, or future commercial strategy
- Engage in discussions that could be interpreted as collusion, cartel behaviour, or anti-competitive coordination
- Attempt to influence competitors’ commercial decisions
If a discussion raises competition law concerns, members must immediately cease participation in that discussion and notify BFFF without delay.
4. Opinions and Representations
- All views and opinions expressed by members are personal and their own
- Contributions do not represent the views, policies, or positions of the British Frozen Food Federation
- Members must not present personal opinions as official BFFF positions or imply endorsement by BFFF unless formally authorised
5. Reporting and Escalation
Members are encouraged to report any behaviour or content that they believe breaches these Terms of Use, competition law requirements, or BFFF policies.
- Concerns should be raised promptly with BFFF via the designated forum moderator or BFFF staff contact
- Reports will be handled sensitively and, where appropriate, confidentially
- BFFF will review reported issues and determine appropriate next steps
Members must cooperate fully with any investigation conducted by or on behalf of BFFF.
6. Moderation, Enforcement and Disciplinary Action
- BFFF reserves the right to monitor, moderate, edit, or remove content from online forums
- BFFF may issue warnings, suspend participation, restrict access, or remove members from forums where breaches occur
- Serious or repeated breaches may result in disciplinary action
Any enforcement or disciplinary measures will be taken in accordance with BFFF’s Articles of Association, governance framework, and applicable disciplinary or complaints procedures, as amended from time to time.
7. Acceptance of Terms
Participation in any BFFF online members’ forum constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Use. Failure to comply may result in suspension or removal of access to BFFF online platforms and/or further action under BFFF governance procedures.
