Synbiotix, a single solution facilities management platform covering Catering, Portering and domestic services has signed up as the latest Integration Partner on the Erudus roster.

Food data platform Erudus boasts some 46,000 product specification input directly by 900 Manufacturers and Suppliers, and will aid Synbiotix in their vision of a single source of supplier data for building catering management systems in the NHS.

Synbiotix, whose customers include NHS Bristol and NHS Glasgow & Clyde plan to link the Erudus platform to their MyDietetix nutritional analysis system. This system takes supplier information and uses recipes and menus to calculate available nutrition to patients in hospitals. The system is also used as the allergen data source for hospitals, supplying patients and visitors with up to date and reliable allergen data allowing them to make informed meal choices.

Mark Edell, Projects Director at Synbiotix says: “The ambition is to have one data platform for all suppliers meaning that any one client does not have to approach the suppliers to get data. The format of the data is often PDF or excel and any updates to the system take ages to manage. I am hoping that having one platform (Erudus) for all suppliers makes setting up the system easy and reduces the burden on the catering department to maintain the platform.”
