The Tesco Winter Food Collection 2026 is coming this November, and we’re looking for volunteers to join us in-store and help collect essential long-life food for people and communities across the UK.

The annual collection will take place from Thursday 26 November to Saturday 28 November, with volunteers supporting collections at large Tesco stores.

The food collected will be distributed through Felix’s network of more than 8,000 charities, including children’s breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch groups and community organisations supporting people who are struggling.

It is a vital source of long-life food for charities over the winter months, when demand for their services often increases.

Make a difference in just 3 hours

Volunteering at your nearest large Tesco store is one of the best ways to get involved.

Customers are more likely to donate when volunteers are present, so just three hours of your time can make a tangible difference.

Last year, each volunteer helped to collect an average of the equivalent of 215 meals.

How can you get involved?

Simply choose your nearest participating large Tesco store and sign up to volunteer.

You can also volunteer as part of a group. Depending on the store, groups of three or four people can sign up together, so why not encourage your colleagues to get involved too?

Help spread the word

Even if you can’t volunteer yourself, you can still help by sharing the opportunity with your colleagues and encouraging them to take part.

A range of posters and social media assets are also available to help organisations promote the collection.
