The First Shortlisted Company

Congratulations to the Canoe Cut Sea Bass from the Specially Selected range at Aldi. Our judging panels thought; it was a very flavoursome and delicate dish, different to other products on the market and excellent texture.

Aldi commented; “We are extremely proud that Aldi’s frozen food range has been shortlisted for nine categories at this year’s BFFF Awards. The frozen food category continues to be important to our customers and working together with the UK’s best suppliers, our Buying team has developed some incredible quality products at amazing prices to meet the ever-evolving needs of shoppers. We are honoured that this effort has been recognised by the British Frozen Food Federation.”

The Second Shortlisted Company

Congratulations to the Spicy Mussels with White Wine and Chilli from the Gino D’Acampo range at Iceland Foods. Our judging panels thought the product; had super flavour, a very innovative product and mussels added real texture.

Iceland commented; “We are really excited to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. We believe that this product is of the highest quality and offered to our customers at an amazing price!”

The Third Shortlisted Company

Congratulations to the Lemon and Herb Lightly Tempura Basa from Iceland Foods. Our judging panels thought the product: was a delicately subtle dish, great flavours, well seasoned and good value for money.

The Fourth Shortlisted Company

Congratulations to the Whitebait from Whitby Seafoods. Our judging panels thought the product had; a good golden crumb, a flavoursome coating and good value for money.

Whitby Seafood comments; “We are delighted to be shortlisted for Whitebait which makes up part of our delicious seafood portfolio using only high quality ingredients, always crafted with care in Whitby, North Yorkshire. We love making bloomin’ special seafood and recognition for this is an added bonus!”
