Hull staff raise £3,500 for the NSPCC

Hull staff from international food company, BHJ Foods Ltd, have raised £3,500 for the NSPCC after successfully completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.

BHJ UK Food Ltd strives to provide market-leading services and solutions to the meat industry and always work to establish valuable partnerships which give back to the community. Therefore, they chose to adopt NSPCC as their charity for 2016.

In support of this, a team of employees, including General Manager, Jon Constable, and an employee from BHJ’s Head Office in Denmark, took on the challenging climb on 23 April to raise funds for the charity’s work with children and young people.

The team covered 24 miles and completed 5200ft of ascent within 12 hours, raising £3500 in the process.

Jon Constable, General Manager, BHJ UK Food Ltd said: “We are very proud to have raised £3,500 for the NSPCC. A massive thank you to all who kindly donated and offered such supportive messages. “To raise this money feels all the more special as 2016 marks NSPCC’s ChildLine’s 30^th birthday year. We hope the money will go a long way in training volunteer counsellors at ChildLine so that the service can continue to help children and young people.”
