Have You Got the Stomach for Brexit?

The first of a series of BREXIT seminars focusing on food and offering practical advice and guidance from industry experts will be held at the Crowne Plaza, NEC, Birmingham on Wednesday 28th February 2018.

Speakers confirmed are Liam Gilbert, IGD’s ‎Head of Global Customer Development, Chris Sturman CEO of the Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF), John Keefe Director of Public Affairs for Getlink, formerly Eurotunnel, and Robert Hardy, Brexit advisor to the Institute for Government, InterTradeIreland, InvestNI and a Director of Oakland Invicta and Oakland International.

Each seminar will focus on a key theme such as tariff and WTO trade, EU and non EU exports, customs implications and cross border transit arrangements. The first of the series will look at the impact on imports, an area which the UK can unilaterally decide its fate without excessive influence from the EU.

Hosted by distribution and logistics experts Oakland International who work closely with major food brands and retailers across Europe, topics covered across the Brexit Seminar series include:

Food Safety, Port Health, Customs and Brexit, AEO Trusted Trader Status, WTO and Tariff Classification, Clandestine Activity, Simplifications, Threats, Rules of Origin and post Brexit Business Opportunities.
