Karen’s determination to provide healthy, wholesome food for the school meals industry is what drove the decision to set up The UK Foodhall coupled with a strong belief that public money should be spent in the UK wherever possible. All of the meat and poultry at The UK Foodhall is British Red Tractor as a minimum welfare standard and the Harry Ramsden’s Junior range is all proudly manufactured in the UK, supporting British Farmers and British Manufacturers.
The UK Foodhall have achieved 11 National & Regional business awards and their product range has been recognised with 32 product quality awards.
Karen and her business partner have acquired 3 further national British food manufacturers in the last 6 years, John Dwyer Bakery in Rugby, a retail supplier of Bread, Rolls and confectionary, Peck & Strong which is a luxury cake manufacturer in Crediton and Cornish Bakehouse which is a national chain of retail outlets, growing the company workforce within the food group to around 250 people. Karen is also the current President of The British Frozen Food Federation.
