Why “Healthy Made Tasty”?
People often feel like they have to choose between healthy or tasty, convenience or quality. But we’ve never believed that should be the case. From the very beginning, we set out to create products we would happily serve at our own family table. That hasn’t changed. What has changed is how clearly, we can now express it. Our packaging and messaging have changed, but our products haven’t, we just wanted to find a look and a message that better reflects what we have always been doing.
“Healthy Made Tasty” isn’t just a phrase, it’s our promise.
Built on Family, Driven by Experience
From a butcher’s apprentice to market leader in Free From breaded chicken, Rosie & Jim have had quite a journey. Jimmy began his career in the meat industry as an apprentice in his uncle’s butcher shop in Ballyfermot, Dublin
By 1997, Jimmy began a small business servicing city centre pubs and restaurants with prepared chicken products inspired by ideas he had seen in Australia. The new start-up company was named Quality First Ltd, inspired by his uncle’s words that ‘Quality Sells Itself’. Quality first later became Rosie & Jim the brand you know today.
As we’ve grown into a leading name in premium gluten free chicken products, our mindset has stayed the same: focus on quality, and everything else will follow.
A major turning point came in 2015, when we made the decision to go gluten free.
We spent 18 months developing something better. By creating our own blend of alternative flours, we produced coatings that were lighter, easier to digest, and still delivered on flavour. In many ways, they improved on what we had before. That moment reshaped how we thought, pushed us to innovate, and raised our standards even higher ensuring more people could enjoy our food without compromise.

While our look has changed, our product remains the same. We continue to create the highest quality, freshest chicken products using natural ingredients, healthy oils, and healthy flours all designed to make healthy eating genuinely enjoyable.
We use all natural ingredients because every ingredient matters. We use 100% chicken breast fillet, never minced, always fresh, and never frozen so every bite delivers premium quality. Our products contain healthy oils to support overall wellness. Our carefully blended flours improve digestion and create a lighter, more enjoyable coating, ensuring that every meal feels as good as it tastes.
We understand that life is busy. Convenience often wins, but we don’t think it should mean lowering your standards. Healthy Made Tasty is about giving people an option that fits into everyday life while still delivering the care, quality, and reassurance of something homemade.
