HARRY YEARSLEY RECOGNISED AT TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION AWARDS WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Harry Yearsley, Chairman of Yearsley Group, was the toast of the town at last night’s TCSD Awards. The Lifetime Achievement accolade highlights consistent achievement throughout the years, a feat which Harry has taken in his stride since being appointed as Managing Director at the age of 32 almost 20 years ago.
During his time at the helm, the business has been transformed, with turnover growing 10 fold and now employing over 1,500 staff across 11 sites nationwide.
One of his proudest achievements was turning round two heavily loss making businesses following the takeovers of Celsius First and Innovate, and in the process becoming the UK’s largest frozen third party logistics provider. All this through the biggest recession the country has seen in modern times.
Harry’s guiding principles have always been to lead from the front, investing heavily in infrastructure, systems and especially in people development, in order to grow the business in a sustainable way. He has also always been a great innovator, particularly in the use of technology as well as continually striving to provide exceptional products and services as cost effectively as possible.
