Windmill Hill Fruits is the frozen fruit division of AJ & CI Snell, with an established reputation as one of the UK’s leading fresh fruit growers. A.J & C.I Snell is owned and run by company partners Anthony and Christine Snell, growing an impressive 2000+ tonnes of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, along with a further 600 tonnes of conventional and soil association organic blackcurrants across 550 acres of beautiful South Herefordshire countryside.

Our fresh and frozen fruit has award winning flavour and we are proud to of won many accolades including Fruit Grower of the Year in 2023 as part of the UK National Arable & Grassland Awards.

We offer our British grown frozen fruit direct to customers via our website on British Frozen Fruits where you can buy a range of frozen products grown both on the farm and from our trusted partners internationally to enjoy the highest quality of frozen fruit.

At Windmill Hill Fruits, we boast a state-of-the-art packhouse with a capacity of 2000 tonnes and a 1000-pallet freezer store, featuring a dedicated blast freezer facility whereby we freshly freeze soft fruit grown by AJ & CI Snell so our customers can enjoy great tasting fruit all year round.

We can also offer also a variety of contract packing services for chilled or frozen goods throughout the year, with peak availability from October-April, coinciding with our quieter period of soft fruit production. We have a year-round labour supply with onsite accommodation and are ETI audited ensuring we meet the highest standards of welfare for all our employees.

Within our packhouse we have over 1000 square metres of storage across ambient, chilled and freezer conditions (-18°C). As well as a range of specialist services such as blast freezing, IQF sorting / grading, container unloading and re-packing, as some examples of the many bespoke services we can offer. Across our entire packhouse site we hold the top accreditation from the British Retail Consortium at AA+.

All our manufacturing and co-packing operations are conducted exclusively at our packhouse facility ideally located on the on the A49 trunk road less than 5 miles from the M50 road network in South Herefordshire. Perfectly located to offer our logistic services, including ambient, chilled and frozen haulage of your produce nationwide.
