Serving authentic French fries is now possible for those without fryers

Farm Frites has announced a new range of fries which offers exceptional taste, crispiness and colour – even when time is of the essence.

The Quick Oven Fries range is ideal for outlets who wish to serve great tasting fries but can’t use deep-fryers due to location operation or regulation. These high quality French fries can be oven cooked in a conventional, trade oven from frozen in just four minutes and don’t require any preparation prior to cooking – just oven cook from the bag and serve. Fast cooking times mean that Quick Oven Fries allows operators to cook five times more portions in 20 minutes than other oven fries, which take around 15 minutes to cook.

Quick Oven Fries is also the ideal product for staff to prepare and serve easily once the main kitchen has closed, therefore allowing operators to keep selling food at the bar. The straight cut fries in the range can also be delivered in 150g bags as well as large volumes to offer easy portion control for frequent servings and less food waste.

“We launched Quick Oven Fries to answer a demand for a fast service product which doesn’t compromise on flavour or texture,” explains Nic Townsend, marketing manager UK & Ireland, Farm Frites.  “We were aware that many of our customers don’t have the facility to deep fry, such as airports, petrol stations, hospitals and schools, but wanted to include fries as part of their offering’’.

“We knew that we could manufacture one of our potato varieties in a way which satisfied this demand from our customers and ultimately, the consumer. We have developed this product in line with their feedback and benchmarked against other products available in the market to ensure that we can offer a high value, high quality French fry.”

Quick Oven Fries from Farm Frites are available as 8.5mm straight cut fries, 4 x 2000g and 48 x 150g, and as 10mm crinkle cut, 4 x 2000g.  Both offer the benefit of fast oven cook from frozen in four minutes with no oil required.
