Let Them Eat Cake! ARYZTA Food Solutions Launches Afternoon Tea Range for Special Diets

ARYZTA Food Solutions has launched a range of sweet treats just in a bid to make catering for special dietary requirements a piece of cake.

Including Goji Berry Tea Loaf and Gluten & Dairy-Free Lemon Cake the range also comprises a selection of Mini Gluten-Free Scones and Mini Gluten-Free Afternoon Tea Cakes.

ARYZTA Food Solutions’ Head of Marketing, Paul Whitely said: “With Mintel reporting that 80% of us Brits enjoy a slice of cake (and 50% of us doing so during the afternoon),* it’s little wonder the tradition of afternoon tea remains as popular as ever. But whilst cake’s popularity is showing no signs of abating, caterers must stay alert to changes in the wider marketplace if they are to fully exploit the profitability of the occasion.

“The rise of special diets is frequently hitting the headlines with the demand for gluten-free goods higher than ever and a burgeoning market place for lactose-free.

“Our new products have been specifically developed to help caterers target these crucial areas. Sweetened with tea-soaked fruit and honey, the Goji Berry loaf will appeal to the health-conscious consumer still looking for an indulgent treat. Meanwhile, offering gluten-free and dairy-free options will give outlets a significant edge over their competitors, appealing to the third of consumers who are buying ‘free from’ food^ and want to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea out-of-home.”
