Aunt Bessie’s is elevating roast dinners with the launch of three new SKUs that will enhance the consumer experience on these occasions. Landing in Sainsbury’s from 27th March, Aunt Bessie’s’ existing Giant Yorkshire will be replaced by a 20% bigger Gigantic Yorkshire, with a new and improved taste and size aimed at shoppers looking to add a twist to their traditional roast dinners. Two new vegetable sides have also gained additional listings having launched at the end of last year in Iceland Food Warehouse and Ocado. The Cauliflower Cheese Topped with a Crispy Breadcrumb and Broccoli Florets in a Lemon & Black Pepper Glaze will be appearing on shelf in Sainsbury’s from the end of the month.

Claire Hoyle, Head of Marketing at Aunt Bessie’s, said: “We are continuously looking for ways to improve our products so that families looking to mix up their roast dinners have the best options available. The renovation of our Giant Yorkshire is key to this, with consumer research helping us launch an improved product that is not only 20% bigger, but also provides a boost of excitement and difference to traditional roast dinners, while still delivering the great taste and quality that Aunt Bessie’s is known for. With higher walls and a more homemade appearance, the new Gigantic Yorkshire puddings will grab the attention of shoppers who are looking to make an impression at the table.”

Aunt Bessie’s is also widening the rollout of its Cauliflower Cheese Topped with a Crispy Breadcrumb and Broccoli Florets in a Lemon & Black Pepper Glaze products. With the Cauliflower Cheese providing a source of protein, and the Broccoli Florets packed with fibre, these dishes join Aunt Bessie’s’ existing vegetable line-up as a convenient way for consumers to add a premium touch to their Sunday roasts.

Claire Hoyle added, “Following two years of restricted celebrations, we’re now seeing a renewed focus on ‘show-stopping’ roast dinners that create an even more special moment around the dinner table. With an increasing demand for premium roast components, we’ve launched our two vegetable sides to help make the all-important Sunday roasts an exciting and enjoyable experience, without compromising on taste or convenience. As ever, our focus on minimal preparation time means that shoppers can spend less time making meals and more time with family.”
