Dalziel Ingredients recruits Daniels to growing technical services team

Dalziel Ingredients has appointed Gareth Daniels as the company’s new Technical Services Manager in its expanding technical team.

The appointment comes at a time of strong growth for Dalziel Ingredients, the UK specialist in bespoke seasoning blends, cures and functional ingredients to savoury food manufacturers.

Daniels joins from On a Roll Sandwich Company where he was Quality Manager, after 9 years working in specialist food technology roles.

He said: “After previously being part of leading the quality function and being part of the team in setting up a new purpose-built Halal factory, the opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking business was an opportunity I wanted to take.”

Richard Wilson, Dalziel Ingredients’ sales director, added: “Our recruitment of Gareth reflects the continued growth of the business, the site and our expanding technical team.”

Dalziel Ingredients has seen increased demand across all its seasoning blends, having expanded into markets such as snack seasonings.

Last month the company announced a £2.5m warehousing expansion at its Felling, Gateshead factory, as demand doubles for its gluten-free options.

Completion is expected early 2018 in a move that will add another 10 new jobs to its 100-strong workforce based there.

Dalziel Ingredients has been based at its current site for over 40 years and is one of the largest employers in the area.

The company is a division of the Dalziel Group which has a heritage as a market leading, family-owned food service specialist going back nearly 90 years.
